I was planning to use the "Something Else" option because I want to leave 7% - 10% unallocated for overhead. (Personally, I always use the "Something Else" option.) Create a new GPT partition table and install with the "Use Entire Drive" option. I had a different thought, tho.It seems to me that one person said that the bios_grub partition was created automatically by the Mint installer, when they installed in Legacy mode to a GPT drive. The partitioning format of one drive does not affect other drives in any way.Īlso, a different drive might exhibit different behavior when you try to create a bios_grub partition. Your current drive can be msdos partitioning, and any other drive you add to the system for storage can be GPT. ![]()
